Trainings on web portal CMS and web discussion forum usage were held in the period 01-03.07.09 and 06-08.07.09 in Skopje to strengthen the capacities of local Equal Opportunities Coordinators in administering, providing and exchanging information on the new Web Based forum to be announced by mid August 2009. The Web Based forum will serve as a tool for horizontal and vertical level networking and experience exchange among and between Ministry of Labour and Social Policy-Sector for Equal Opportunity, Local Government Units and its’ Women and Men Equal Opportunities Commissions and Coordinators. This Web Based Platform will make key messages available nationwide thus fostering broad consultation process with relevant partners and reaching the broader public.

 

The trainings were attended by 36 municipalities in total out of 85 invited, represented by the Equal Opportunities Coordinators or by IT person in charge for administering the web page of the municipality. At the user training sessions (01-03.07.09 and 06-07.07.09) targeted at Equal Opportunities Coordinators, in total 40 municipal representatives were present. At the Administrator Training Session (08.07.09), 11 representatives were present, including 3 representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. The administrators will manage and update data, relevant information and materials on the Web.

The municipalities that participated at the trainings include: Vinica, Butel, Vrapchiste, Aerodrom, Veles, Bogovinje, Arachinovo, Bitola, Debar, Demir Kapija, Gjorce Petrov, Gevgelija, Dolneni, Drugovo, Grad Skopje, Gazi Baba, Zhelino, Gostivar, Karbinci, Kriva Palanka, Kratovo, Brvenica, Krivogastani, Lozovo, Prilep, Negotino, Probishtip, Novo Selo, Mogila, Plasnica, Rostuse, Radovis, Vasilevo, Strumica, Centar, Staro Nagoricane and Zajas.
